The mystery is over—those cryptic luchador teasers airing on WWE programming? They’re all about Rey Fenix.

Ringside News has learned that Fenix is the man behind the video packages, and WWE is officially preparing for his post-European tour debut at the end of March. The teasers, which first aired during SmackDown on March 14, showed a masked figure training under orange lighting, immediately setting off speculation that Fenix was WWE-bound. Now, it’s confirmed.

Fenix’s WWE debut is now a question of when—not if. While no exact date has been locked in, sources indicate that WWE is already working on merchandise ideas for Fenix, meaning his arrival is just a matter of time. He’s expected to complete the company’s medical process soon, and unless there’s a last-minute change, his first official WWE appearance should happen shortly after March 31.

Fenix secured his AEW release earlier this month after reportedly making “vague allegations about inhumane treatment.” While AEW never publicly addressed the claims, it’s believed that Fenix agreed to a non-disparagement clause as part of his exit. The company had the option to extend his contract due to injury time but ultimately granted his release, paving the way for his move to WWE.

Fenix fueled speculation even further with a heartfelt farewell message to fans on March 6, writing: “Gracias por todo su amor ❤️ los amo. Thanks for all your love ❤️ I love you all. #Animo #MexaKing.”

With WrestleMania 41 right around the corner, WWE now faces a major decision—throw Fenix straight into the mix or let him build up steam before making a splash? Whether he reunites with Penta or goes solo, Fenix’s WWE debut will be one of the most talked-about moments of the year.

What do you think WWE’s plan is for Fenix? Should he go straight to the main roster or start in NXT? Drop your thoughts below!
