Shotzi Blackheart was out of action for several months after suffering an ACL injury back in February 2024 but came back to NXT during the December 10 episode of WWE NXT. With that said, it appears that Shotzi Blackheart’s return to NXT was meant to be temporary.

While speaking on Fightful’s The Hump, Sean Ross Sapp was asked about Chemical X’s expected return to NXT TV and whether there was a specific reason for their absence of over a month following their initial run.

Sean Ross Sapp first revealed that when Shotzi Blackheart was brought back, it was originally believed that she was simply getting some reps before returning to the main roster and nothing more, so he was surprised WWE formed the Chemical X group with Shotzi, Gigi Dolin and Tatu Paxley. As for Chemical X’s status, he hadn’t heard any details regarding the group.

“Actually, when Shotzi was brought back, it was originally thought that she was just getting some reps before returning to the main roster. So, I was a little bit surprised that the group was even brought up anyway. But no, I haven’t heard any details on that.”

Shotzi Blackheart was last seen during the January 28th edition of NXT television, where she failed to defeat Fallon Henley for the NXT Women’s North American Championship at the time.

Even Gigi Dolin and Tatum Paxley have been absent from NXT television since the February 4th edition of NXT as well. Regardless, we will have to wait and see when all three members will return to NXT and whether Blackheart will eventually return to the main roster, as there is uncertainty surrounding their future at the moment.
