AEW Revolution 2025 went down at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California. The TBS Title was on the line as Mercedes Mone continued her quest to prove she’s still The CEO.

AEW has their door open for some of the best talent from all around the world. The Revolution event featured a TBS Championship match, where Mercedes Moné defended her title against Momo Watanabe.

This match was the second of the night, and the LA crowd was more than ready for the pay-per-view’s first title contest. Sadly, there was another issue with the stream as this contest got started, but it wasn’t as bad as the beginning of the show’s problems.

This was a back-and-forth match, as both women wanted to prove that they were the better wrestler. Momo took control for a bit, but Mercedes Mone was waiting for any slip-up to take control of the match once again.

Mercedes was able to land a powerbomb to the outside, and that was a brutal spot. Despite that tough landing, Momo kicked out a ttwo when Mercedes got her back in the ring.

At one point, Momo stopped Mercedes Mone from doing a Three Amigos suplex, but then she started the signature move herself, stealing the former Sasha Banks’ move. Then Momo tied Mone in a tree of woe and teed off with a few stiff kicks.

The two continued to battle, and eventually Mercedes Mone got her crossface on, but Momo fought to get out of it and turn things around for a sleeper. Then Mercedes nailed a powerbomb for a near fall. The finish came after Mone locked on her crossface once again and forced a tap out.

We will have to see what is next for the TBS Championship. Tony Khan’s company has no shortage of women who would love a shot at the title, and it’s anyone’s guess who will step up next.

What’s your take on Mercedes Mone’s time in AEW so far? Is Tony Khan booking her well? Let us know what you think in the comments section!
