Jade Cargill’s return to WWE has reignited old tensions, particularly with Shayna Baszler, after an incident last year that had the locker room talking.

According to Wrestling Observer and Fightful Select, the drama between Cargill and Baszler started during a WWE match in Scotland, where Cargill tapped out in what wasn’t supposed to be the finish.

Backstage sources claim that after the match, Cargill made a comment that “Baszler needed to learn how to work”, which quickly spread among talent and didn’t sit well with many.

The tension had been kept quiet for months, but Cargill’s return promo before Elimination Chamber stirred it up again. In the video, she declared she was “demanding respect” and described being “surrounded by wolves in the shape of women all around her.” Several WWE talents reportedly took that personally, as many had worked to keep the original Baszler situation behind closed doors.

With Cargill now back in the spotlight and the locker room chatter picking up again, it remains to be seen if this issue will stay backstage or find its way into WWE storylines.
