With WrestleMania 41 right around the corner, fans have been speculating whether Stone Cold Steve Austin will make an appearance at WWE’s biggest event of the year. But according to Austin himself, there’s been zero communication with WWE about bringing him in for the show.
Speaking to The Schmo, Austin made it clear that Mania isn’t on his radar right now.
“Hey, I haven’t been in contact with anybody, so I guess anything could happen. But I’m here to run the Mint 400 and that’s what my sights are set on. I’m not looking to Mania. I’m looking to the Mint 400.”
Austin, who recently underwent knee surgery, is fully focused on his upcoming race rather than stepping back into the squared circle. “I got a brand new left knee, trying here to—this is my first race back. So I’m gonna go out there and kick ass and see if I can do as well as I can.”
With WWE stacking the card and major names already confirmed for the event, it looks like Austin 3:16 won’t be a part of this year’s WrestleMania—at least for now.
Do you think WWE should bring Austin in for WrestleMania 41, or is he making the right call by focusing on racing? Drop your thoughts in the comments!
