John Cena’s shocking betrayal of Cody Rhodes at Elimination Chamber 2025 left the wrestling world stunned, but if you’re looking for answers, don’t ask John Cena Sr.—because he’s done talking about it.

Speaking to Bill Apter of WrestleBinge, Cena’s father made it very clear he wants no part in discussing his son’s heel turn and alliance with The Rock.

“I’m tired of guys like you, I’m tired of the other phone calls that I’m getting. I don’t know why he did what he did. You’re gonna have to get that from him. I am so tired of this. Why don’t we just let it play out and find out what’s happening?”

Clearly frustrated with the overwhelming reaction from fans and media, Cena Sr. shut the conversation down.

“A reporter is a reporter. Listen Bill Apter, ‘friend,’ enough is enough. Thanks! I won’t say what Cody Rhodes said to you, but what I will say is have a nice day and thanks for nothing.”

Cena’s turn—which saw him low-blow Cody and align with The Rock and Travis Scott—has been compared to Hulk Hogan’s infamous NWO heel turn, but not everyone is on board with the idea that it carries the same weight. Eric Bischoff recently gave his take, saying that while it was executed flawlessly, it simply won’t match the impact of Hogan’s betrayal of WCW.

Meanwhile, Cena Sr. is making one thing clear—he wants nothing to do with the conversation.

What do you think about John Cena Sr.’s reaction? Do you blame him for not wanting to talk about it? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
