WrestleMania 41 is fast approaching, and many fans have been wondering what the company has in store for Rhea Ripley after she ended up losing the Women’s World Title to IYO SKY on the March 3rd edition of Raw. While her direction isn’t known yet, it appears that WWE might change up a huge title match at WrestleMania 41.
WWE announced that IYO SKY would defend her title against Bianca Belair at WrestleMania 41 since Bianca Belair previously won the Women’s Elimination Chamber match. However, WrestleVotes revealed during the latest Live Q&A on Backstage Pass that the match could evolve into a triple threat.
The expectation is that by the time WrestleMania arrives in Las Vegas, a third competitor will be added to the bout. WrestleVotes noted that if the feud between Belair and SKY isn’t exciting enough, WWE plans to make changes to improve it.
“The anticipation is that the match turns into a three-way at WrestleMania. That’s from what I heard today. Fully expect that match to turn into a triple threat by the time we get to Las Vegas was what I was told. So if the spice isn’t there between Bianca and IYO, don’t worry, it’s going to shape out to be a little bit different.”
Rhea Ripley defended her Women’s World Title against IYO SKY on Raw this week. The match ended when Ripley tried to hit a Rip Tide from the top rope but got distracted by Bianca Belair. This allowed SKY to counter with a hurricanrana, followed by her Over The Moonsault, to win the match and become the new WWE Women’s World Champion.
Rhea Ripley already made it clear that she was a complete mess after her title loss. With several weeks left before WrestleMania 41, we will have to wait and see whether WWE will include The Eradiactor in the triple threat match, as that is definitely something that fans want.
What do you think about the possibility of a triple threat match at WrestleMania 41? Should Rhea Ripley be added to the mix, or should the match remain a one-on-one showdown? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
