WWE Evolve kicks off with NXT’s Shawn Michaels addressing the newcomers, setting the stage for an action-packed night. He announces that the first two matches will feature tag team competition.

In six-man tag action, Jack Cartwheel, Sean Legacy, and Capuccino Jones team up to take on Jackson Drake, Brad Taylor, and Ricky Smokes. Meanwhile, the women’s division sees Kendall Grey and Carlee Bright facing off against Kali Armstrong and Dani Palmer in a tag team battle.

Kendal Grey & Carlee Bright vs. Kali Armstrong & Dani Palmer

Kendal Grey and Dani Palmer started the match, but Armstrong quickly tagged herself in. Grey sidestepped Armstrong into the turnbuckles and challenged her to bring the fight. After a series of technical exchanges, Armstrong put Grey on the top turnbuckle and taunted her before Palmer tagged back in. Grey applied a wrist lock, working over Palmer’s arm before tagging in Bright. The two exchanged quick pin attempts and holds, with Palmer landing a deep arm drag into an armbar. Bright attempted a Hurricanrana, but Palmer impressively landed on her feet before tagging in Armstrong.

Armstrong took control, applying pressure to Bright’s shoulder and taunting her before whipping her across the ring. Bright answered back with a gut punch and a dropkick before tagging Grey back in. Grey executed a fireman’s carry takeover and an arm drag, keeping Armstrong grounded. The match escalated as Bright and Grey used teamwork to land a double hip toss for a near fall. Armstrong turned the tide with a powerful powerslam, dragging Bright to the corner and wasting time gloating. Palmer re-entered, landing a double knee strike, but her standing moonsault was countered when Bright got her knees up.

Grey and Armstrong tagged in, with Grey taking control through a flurry of elbow strikes and a DDT. Palmer tried to intervene but was hit with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex. Armstrong countered Grey’s fireman’s carry, but Grey landed a back elbow smash. Armstrong caught Grey mid-air and delivered a running powerslam for a near fall before heading to the top turnbuckle. Palmer tagged herself in, allowing Grey to hit a superplex, setting up Palmer for a frog splash. The action reached a chaotic peak with Bright landing a CodeBreaker and Grey countering Palmer’s Slice Bread attempt. A spear from Grey nearly secured the win, but Palmer and Armstrong fought back. In the final moments, Palmer attempted a corkscrew moonsault but accidentally wiped out Armstrong. Grey capitalized, locking in a flying cross-arm breaker to make Palmer tap out.

He spoke about growing up fighting on the streets, surviving without a father, and taking on all challenges without hesitation. Trill London shared his journey from Yonkers, New York, highlighting his uniqueness and resilience. From making it to the NFL and securing a spot on a 53-man roster to now chasing his childhood dream, London emphasized that he’s always been misunderstood but refuses to change for anyone. He promised fans would see something different from him inside the ring.

Keanu Carver vs. Trill London

The match started with Carver aggressively applying a sleeper hold and throwing London to the mat. London tried to fight back with a kick to the face, but Carver overwhelmed him with heavy strikes and a fallaway slam. London attempted a comeback with body shots and a side headlock, but Carver launched him into the corner. London ducked a clothesline but got rocked by Carver’s Pounce. A devastating Sky High sealed the victory for Carver.

Winner: Keanu Carver via Pinfall

Luca Crusifino made it clear—he’s here to represent The D’Angelo Family. With Tony D’Angelo running NXT, Crusifino plans to take over Evolve. He acknowledged the talent coming through WWE’s ID program but dismissed them as inexperienced compared to a “heavy hitter” like himself. Crusifino warned that anyone from NXT on the Evolve roster should take notice—because they now have to answer to him.
