Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is all over WWE’s road to WrestleMania 41, and while his in-ring work is getting plenty of love, his post-show press conferences? Not so much.

Wrestling legend Jim Cornette isn’t a fan and made it clear that Johnson’s habit of breaking down major moments right after they happen is ruining the magic.

On The Jim Cornette Experience, the outspoken veteran didn’t hold back when talking about The Rock’s latest media appearance following Elimination Chamber.

“You don’t blow that authenticity by analyzing it and how great you were to have thought of it and performed it so well 15 minutes later. I just—he’s putting me to sleep,” Cornette said.

Cornette argued that instead of over-explaining everything in a press conference, The Rock should let the moments speak for themselves. He specifically pointed to John Cena’s shocking heel turn, saying that while the moment itself was electric, The Rock dissecting it in real-time took away some of its impact.

“The angle itself may have been over, but the issue is not over,” Cornette added, making it clear that Cena’s betrayal of Cody Rhodes is just getting started.

The Rock’s deep dives into WWE’s biggest moments might work for some, but for Cornette, they’re unnecessary—and apparently, a snoozefest.

Are The Rock’s press conferences taking away from the drama, or are they adding another layer to the story? Should WWE get rid of them? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
