The March 4 episode of WWE NXT did not go the way Cora Jade would have liked as Jade suffered an injury during her match against Jordynne Grace, resulting in the match being called off. Unfortunately, it appears that Jade has now entered concussion protocol following her injury.

While speaking on Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez revealed that Cora Jade is in concussion protocol after her match against Jordynne Grace on this week’s NXT. He reviewed the footage and believes she got hurt when she hit the turnbuckle in a strange way, making her head snap back.

Alvarez noted that afterwards, she struggled in the ring, missing a stomp and failing to bounce off the bottom rope. The referee noticed something was wrong and stopped the match. Alvarez noted that it’s not clear exactly when she got the concussion, but it seems to have happened during a normal move.

“The update on Cora Jade is that it appears she is in concussion protocol. Somehow, Cora apparently suffered a concussion, and I went back to review the footage. Most of this happened during picture-in-picture. I watched it over and over again and have no idea how she got the concussion.

The only thing I can think of is that she took a turnbuckle, and if you watch closely, she didn’t sell it like she normally does. Instead, she reacted as if it actually hurt. She then tried to bounce off the bottom rope into a stomp, but she missed the rope completely. She attempted to bounce off the bottom rope again, but she missed Jordynne with both feet and just landed on the ground.

You can see her talking to the referee, and the ref responds like, ‘Well, we’re done.’ So, I believe she hit the buckle in a weird way, her head snapped back, and she suffered the concussion. Sometimes in wrestling, despite all the talk about certain moves being dangerous, most injuries happen from something that isn’t considered risky. That seems to be the case here. Hopefully, she returns soon.”

Fightful Select reported that Cora Jade suffered a head injury and not a knee injury at all, so a concussion was certainly not unexpected. Even Cora Jade admitted that she was “rocked for a second” during the match but confirmed she didn’t suffer any knee injury.

With concussion protocol in place, it remains unclear when Cora Jade will return to action. The WWE medical team will monitor her recovery closely, as head injuries in wrestling are taken very seriously. In the meantime, fans will hope for the best and pray she returns as soon as possible.
