With WWE’s blockbuster Netflix deal set to change the game, fans are now wondering what that means for Peacock, which has been the home of WWE’s premium live events in the U.S. since 2021. The current deal between WWE and Peacock expires in March 2026, and there’s growing speculation that WWE could move everything to Netflix worldwide once that contract runs out.

Speaking at the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media & Telecom Conference, TKO COO Mark Shapiro addressed the situation, making it clear that WWE’s relationship with NBCUniversal has been strong. He called them a “crazy good partner” and credited WWE for helping Peacock grow its subscriber base.

However, when discussing WWE’s long-term future, Shapiro admitted that while NBCUniversal wants to renew, WWE is keeping its options open. “While NBCUniversal is keen to renew and we’re keen to renew with them, it might make sense to move elsewhere if the plan makes the best sense for the growth of the brand.”

With Netflix already securing the rights to Monday Night Raw starting in 2025 and WWE’s international premium live events already streaming there, a full shift to Netflix for all events seems like a real possibility.

If WWE does leave Peacock, it would mark another massive shift for the company as it continues expanding its global reach. For now, fans will have to wait and see whether Peacock holds onto WWE or if Netflix will become the exclusive home for all premium live events.
