Dark Side of the Ring is back, and season six is bringing some of wrestling’s most controversial and untold stories to light. Vice Sports officially confirmed the new season will premiere on March 25, with ten brand-new episodes diving deep into the most shocking and complex moments in wrestling history.
The season kicks off with an in-depth look at the 1998 Hell in a Cell match between Mick Foley and The Undertaker. Foley sits down for an extensive interview, sharing his first-hand account of the brutal match that left him permanently scarred—physically and mentally. His family also weighs in on the long-term toll of his legendary career.
Other major episodes this season include the tragic story of Daffney, a new interview with Billy Jack Haynes—who is currently awaiting trial for second-degree murder—the rise and fall of Muhammad Hassan, and a deep dive into Ludvig Borga’s post-wrestling political career. Fans will also get untold stories about legends like Big Van Vader, Tony Atlas, “Superstar” Billy Graham, The Original Sheik, and “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert.
Alongside the new season, Dark Side of the Ring: Unheard will return as a companion podcast. Hosted by Jack Encarnacao and JP Sarro, with series co-creator Evan Husney, the podcast will feature unaired interviews and exclusive insights from the Dark Side archives. It will be available on YouTube, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and other platforms.
Since its debut in 2019, Dark Side of the Ring has become Vice TV’s top-rated wrestling docuseries, exposing the harsh realities of the business and the human cost behind the spectacle. Now, with Vice Sports pushing a sports-first programming model, the Dark Side brand has expanded to cover football, the ‘90s, the 2000s, reality TV, and even MMA with Dark Side of the Cage, launching this year.
With a stacked lineup of topics and never-before-heard stories, season six is shaping up to be another must-watch for wrestling fans.
