The WWE Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event saved one of the biggest surprises in the history of the business as John Cena turned heel and sold his soul for The Rock. Travis Scott was also in the ring with Cena and Rock and beat up Cody Rhodes. However, new footage has now revealed that the rapper legitimately hit The American Nightmare, which was obviously not intended.
While John Cena battered Cody Rhodes using a Rolex watch, a microphone and even the WWE Title, Travis Scott joined in by attacking a wounded Cody Rhodes. Obviously, no one expected the rapper to get involved in such a way.
As revealed by footage making rounds on social media, a close-up camera shot appeared to show the rapper legitimately hitting Cody Rhodes on his face, especially just around his ear, as a thunderous thud could be heard. Even fans in attendance winced after hearing the vicious attack.
The Rock also talked about Travis Scott’s future in WWE, making it clear that fans should expect him to return to the company again. In addition to that, The Final Boss even teased the rapper possibly stepping foot inside the squared circle.
John Cena’s heel turn has changed the road to WrestleMania 41, where he will face Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship. With Travis Scott joining in and The Rock playing a bigger role, fans are excited to see what happens next. However, many think Scott should have been careful and not legitimately hit Cody Rhodes like that.
Do you believe Travis Scott should have been more careful in this instance? Should he step into the ring for an official match? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
