Zayda Steel has gone silent on Twitter, and while the exact reason isn’t confirmed, speculation is running wild. Just before her upcoming match with AEW’s Megan Bayne in GCW, Steel’s Twitter account disappeared, leaving fans wondering if the online harassment she received played a role.

When visiting her page, the message “This account doesn’t exist” now appears, signaling that she either deactivated or deleted her account within the last 24 hours. While her Instagram remains active, her sudden exit from Twitter hasn’t gone unnoticed.

Fans have been quick to react, with some pointing the finger at toxic behavior online. One person tweeted, “I’m being told that mfs on here started harassing Zayda Steel and now her account is gone. Y’all are truly pieces of shit man.” Another fan defended her, writing, “You tribalist weirdos harassing and bullying Zayda just because of a fucking company logo? Get a fucking life. She literally doesn’t do anything to anyone. One of the least problematic wrestlers and you wanna beef with her, nah, go fuck yourself.”

Some even suggested that things went beyond harassment and into dangerous territory. One user wrote, “#ZaydaSteel had to deactivate her Twitter this week because of fans commenting that #MeganBayne should legitimately injure Steel in their upcoming match in #GCW due to Steel having a #WWEID deal and Bayne being signed to #AEW.”

Whether this was the deciding factor in Steel leaving Twitter is unknown, but the timing raises questions. What should have been just another match on the independent scene somehow turned into a battleground for online toxicity, and now Steel is gone from one of the biggest platforms for wrestlers to engage with fans.

Has wrestling fan culture become too toxic, or is this just an unfortunate case of a few bad apples ruining it for everyone? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
