Cena tells Cody he has immense respect for him and promises to give him a real challenge at WrestleMania. Cody extends his hand, and Cena shakes it. Suddenly, The Rock’s music plays, and he makes his way to the ring—accompanied by Travis Scott.

The Rock grabs Cody by the side of the head, calling him by his full name. He tells Cody the moment has arrived. He opens his arms and tells Cody to embrace him as his brother, as his champion. Rock says he wants everything—Cody’s mind, his soul—and, God have mercy, he needs his soul. If Cody says yes, the American Nightmare will live forever.

Rock stares into Cody’s eyes and warns him—if the answer is no, then tonight, the dream dies again. Cody looks around before turning back to Rock. He says he does want it all, but his soul isn’t his to give. He asks Rock if he knows why—because he gave his soul to this ring and these people a long time ago. Cody glares at Rock and delivers his final words: “Go f* yourself.”**

Cena then rips Cody’s shirt off and wraps his tie around his neck, choking him, as Travis Scott and Cena hold him in place.

The Rock steps forward, weight belt in hand, and lashes Cody across the back. He then wipes Cody’s blood onto the belt before whipping him again. Satisfied, Rock hands the championship belt to Cena, who drops it on top of Cody’s beaten body.

After Cena, Rock, and Travis Scott leave the ring, Michael Cole rushes in to check on Cody, concern written all over his face. Cody remains motionless, bloodied, with the championship belt draped over him. The camera lingers on the brutal scene as the crowd murmurs in shock. Fade to black. We go to credits.
