WrestleMania 41 is less than two months away, and WWE still has time to finalize the match card. However, several stars are still absent, leaving fans wondering about their status, including Randy Orton. In fact, Orton’s current status for WrestleMania 41 has now been revealed.
While speaking on Fightful’s post-RAW show, Sean Ross Sapp was asked about Randy Orton’s status for WrestleMania 41. Sapp noted that Orton has been the odd man out during his absence from television when it comes to his involvement with Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn’s storyline.
Sapp then mentioned that WWE had wanted Orton involved in WrestleMania 41 but had not heard anything specific about his plans. However, he remained hopeful that Orton would return soon.
“Does Randy Orton fit right into the Sami Zayn-Kevin Owens thing? Because he has been sort of the odd man out in his absence. I know they’ve wanted him involved in WrestleMania, but I haven’t specifically heard anything. So, I’m hopeful that he’s back soon.”
Randy Orton’s last match was on October 25 during SmackDown, where he teamed up with Cody Rhodes to take on Imperium’s GUNTHER and Ludwig Kaiser. On November 8, Kevin Owens attacked Orton with a piledriver, leading doctors to diagnose him with cervical cord neuropraxia. There was no clear timeline for his return, as he was written off WWE television, leaving fans waiting for updates on his comeback.
At the moment, Orton’s path to WrestleMania 41 is unclear. WWE is still finalizing its plans, so there’s always a chance he could make a surprise return. However, without any official confirmation, fans will have to wait and see if Orton will be part of WrestleMania 41 or if his return will be pushed to a later date.
What do you think WWE should do with Randy Orton if he returns before WrestleMania? Should he be inserted into a major storyline or saved for a bigger comeback? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
