The February 25 episode of WWE NXT was quite a show. This included a lot of newsworthy moments, including the Hardy Boys’ big return to WWE.

The Hardy Boys were scheduled to take on the No Quarter Catch Crew on NXT this week. That was quite a surprise for fans as they wonder what is next for the shoo-in WWE Hall of Famers in the company.

The Hardy Boys were making their return to WWE as TNA Tag Team Champions. This also marked their first-ever match in NXT, and it also came with some new merchandise. Needless to say, this was a big homecoming for Matt and Jeff Hardy.

Myles Borne and Tavion Heights called their shot against the Hardy Boys, and the decorated veteran team answered the call. Their entrance on NXT was surreal, and they received an amazing reaction from the live crowd as well. They even made a quip on commentary how Borne, who is partially deaf, could even hear the Hardy’s reception as they received huge “welcome back” chants from the fans.

This match had fast action, and the Hardy Boys got all of their signature moves in. They also had the crowd in the palm of their hands as they maintained control of the contest. These two teams battled throughout a commercial break as the action stayed in picture-in-picture.

This match kicked off the second hour of the show as fans showered the Hardy Boys with “you still got it” chants. Matt and Jeff Hardy fought on as the fans cheered them in a big way, but the No Quarter Catch Crew were able to beat them down and maintain control to get fans at a fever pitch for the Hardys’ big comeback.

In the end, Matt Hardy nailed a Twist of Fate on Miles Borne, and Jeff Hardy hit a Swanton Bomb for the win. Fans in Ohio were more than happy to see this match go down with a big Hardy win. After the match, NXT Tag Team Champions Nathan Frazer and Axiom got in the ring to welcome the Hardy Boys to NXT. Matt Hardy said that Fraxiom are impressive, and Frazer called the Hardys the greatest tag team of all time. Then they booked a match between the two so they can figure out who is the best team in the world. That is when Santino Marella came out to announce that the two teams will throw down at Roadblock with the TNA Tag Team Titles on the line in Madison Square Garden on March 11.

We will have to see what the next steps are for the Hardy Boys. They certainly received a warm welcome back to WWE, and only time will tell how many more matches in the company the brothers have in them at this point.
