Carmella had been away from WWE since 2023 as she prepared for the birth of her child. However, she faced complications during labor, leading to injuries that kept her from returning to the ring. Recently, her contract with WWE expired, marking the end of her tenure with the company. Carmella has now given her first remarks after her exit.
While speaking on her Instagram stories, Carmella adddressed her WWE exit and thanked fans for their support. She said she saw all the messages and felt grateful for the kind words about her career.
Carmella also said there are a lot of questions about what’s next for her. She plans to talk about it on a podcast later this week and share her side of the story.
“Some news broke last week and I just wanted to let you know that I’ve seen all of your texts and tweets and messages and DMs, and like, oh my god, you guys are just the best, and I’m so grateful for you and everything that you’ve been saying about Carmella and my career, and I’m so blessed. So thank you. I know there’s a lot of questions and uncertainty around everything. I will be going on a podcast later this week, answering some of those questions and telling my side, because I have a lot to say about the situation.”
As reported earlier, Carmella is no longer under contract with WWE and in the meantime, Carmella is still struggling with drop foot, a condition that makes it hard for her to move properly. This started after she gave birth to her son, Dimitri Paul Polinsky, with her husband, Corey Graves. She also has two herniated discs in her back, which makes it even harder for her to return to wrestling.
Carmella last competed in WWE in March 2023 but was only back for six weeks before taking another break. She had already been out since 2022 before that. Fans are waiting to see what Carmella will have to say regarding her WWE departure, as her future remains uncertain at the moment.
