Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson have been making waves in WWE NXT as part of the Meta-Four faction, and their recent main roster appearances had fans wondering if a full-time call-up was imminent. However, according to Sean Ross Sapp, WWE isn’t in a rush to move them up just yet.

During the Fightful Select Q&A podcast, Sapp provided insight into their status and whether they are officially part of Raw or SmackDown.

“There were reports that they were called up a while back, but I believe Corey had spoken to people in NXT and said, ‘Well, no, they’re not, they’re still very much in the plans in NXT.’ I know that they liked when they were brought up to do those appearances on SmackDown. I think they had one or two matches—like they had the tag title match there. It lasted like two minutes or something like that. Then in October, there were people saying that they needed some more reps there, that they would get those but were still factored in as a tag team.”

While they’ve been tested with multiple main roster appearances, WWE is still monitoring their growth.

“They’ve had like three tag team title shots, I think. Yeah, they had three tag team title shots over the course of a few months. I thought it showed a lot of growth there because they went from having that two-minute match on SmackDown to being a part of the four-way tag title match. It went like 11 or 12 minutes. Then they had the one on NXT, which is sort of their territory, even though it was Center Stage, and then it went even longer than that, so I thought that was pretty cool.”

Lash Legend’s progression has been particularly noteworthy, considering how quickly she was put on television early in her career.

“I really mean it—Lash Legend—I thought that they did her a real disservice by putting her on TV just like as quick as they did because, you know, you’re gonna get all the posts and all that stuff of like people on 205 Live messing up and all that. And boy, has she grown. Man, has she improved so much. I think she’s been wrestling for over three years now because it doesn’t seem like that long ago that people were doing that shit to her, which is a tough spot to be in. Like, you’re put out there for your first real matches on TV, and Lash Legend was like—I want to say—like, I don’t think she did a show. She was like 20 matches in, which is wild.”

Sapp also noted that Jakara Jackson has a strong presence that fits well on the main roster. “I think Jakara has like a lot of main roster presence as well.”

For now, WWE is evaluating whether Legend and Jackson are fully ready for a permanent move. If they don’t stay on Raw or SmackDown now, WWE will likely reassess their status around the next Draft.
