Skye Blue has been sidelined for months, but the latest update suggests she could be back in an AEW ring sooner than expected.
Blue suffered an ankle injury on the July 20 episode of AEW Collision during a match against Hikaru Shida. A miscalculated suicide dive led to a nasty landing, forcing the match to stop and raising immediate concerns about her condition. Since then, she’s been recovering while staying connected with fans through meet-and-greets.
According to Fightful Select, there’s finally good news. While AEW initially believed she wouldn’t return until Spring 2025, Blue recently told fans at Toyhio that she’s already cleared for action. However, sources noted that “being cleared by their doctors and cleared by AEW are two different things.”
Despite the uncertainty, Blue has been eager to make her comeback. She even traveled to Australia to support her boyfriend, Kyle Fletcher, at AEW Grand Slam, showing she’s still very much engaged with the wrestling world.
AEW has yet to finalize creative plans for her return, but all signs point to Skye Blue getting back in the ring sooner than expected.
