Logan Paul was already a well-known celebrity with several controversies in his past before making the move to WWE. Even after joining the company, he has continued to make controversial statements. That’s why it comes as no surprise the Egyptian government has chosen to ban him from the country.

MrBeast recently released a video exploring the Great Pyramids of Giza in collaboration with the Egypt Film Commission. While speaking on his YouTube channel, Logan Paul revealed that he had tried to join the trip but was explicitly denied entry by the Egyptian government.

According to him, MrBeast initially agreed to include him in the trip, but then the YouTuber told The Maverick that the Egyptian authorities refused to let him come. The government made it clear that he was the only person banned from the trip, despite never having visited Egypt before.

“Mr. Beast just uploaded a new video exploring the pyramids or something. And I love the pyramids. So I was like ‘Jimmy, can I come?’ And he was like ‘For sure dude.’ Then a week later he called me and was like ‘Dude, unfortunately, the Egyptian government said that you can’t come, otherwise we can’t come.’

And I was like ‘Wait what? I know I p***** people off at the Egyptian government, I’ve never even been to Egypt, why can’t I come to the pyramid Jimmy?’ He said, ‘I don’t know, the government specifically said you are the only person that cannot come on this trip.’”

Logan Paul faced tons of backlash for a filming incident in Japan back in 2017 at the Aokigahara Forest, a well-known site for suicides, where he recorded footage next to a victim. After the backlash, he released an apology and tried to move on from the incident, but it’s clear that no one has forgotten what he did.

Logan Paul’s situation shows that past actions will always affect where a public figure is allowed to go and actions obviously have consequences. Even though he has tried to improve his image, some countries still do not fully trust him and that’s unlikely to change anytime soon.
