Michael Cole has been with WWE since 1997 and over the years, he cemented his place as the voice of the promotion. While he remains the company’s top commentator, he has now confirmed that he is no longer in charge of the announcers.

While speaking during an appearance on Impaulsive podcast, Michael Cole revealed that he is no longer in charge of the announcers. In the past, he was not only a commentator but also oversaw all announcers as a Vice President in the company, managing everything related to commentary.

“So, I’m no longer in charge of the announcers. I used to not only be an announcer, but I was also in charge of all the announcers. I was a VP in the company, handling everything related to commentary.”

Sue Cundaro took over the management of WWE’s announcers from Michael Cole. Cundaro, who joined WWE in 1995, became the Director of On-Air Talent Operations. With years of experience, she has done a great job in her new role so far.
