The WWE 2K25 roster reveal on February 17, 2025, confirmed a surprising detail—several recently released WWE Superstars are still part of the game. Despite their departures, names like Baron Corbin, Blair Davenport, Cedric Alexander, Isla Dawn, Indi Hartwell, Karl Anderson, and Luke Gallows will still be playable.
WWE has been making major cuts ahead of WrestleMania 41, reportedly clearing space for a wave of NXT call-ups. Giovanni Vinci, Sonya Deville, Akam & Rezar, and Paul Ellering were also let go in the latest round of releases, making their inclusion in WWE 2K25 even more notable.
Typically, WWE 2K games remove talent who are no longer with the company before launch, making this year’s situation unique. Whether this was a last-minute decision or a case of the roster being locked in before the cuts remains unclear. However, fans who were disappointed by the recent releases can still play as some of their favorites in WWE 2K25.
With the game set to release on March 14, and early access editions dropping March 7, the full roster is expected to feature over 300 playable characters, including legends and alternate versions of current stars.
