A major name in the UK wrestling scene has caught WWE’s attention, and they might not be alone.
Fightful Select’s Corey Brennan reports that Man Like DeReiss is now on WWE’s radar as a potential signing, joining previously reported prospect Rhio.
Sources in British wrestling claim that several talents within WWE have been pushing for the company to sign both DeReiss and Rhio. While there’s no confirmation on whether either will be involved in extra work during WWE’s lead-up to WrestleMania 41, or if they’ll be part of the upcoming tryout in London this March, WWE has been reaching out to multiple schools and promotions to line up potential talent for their pre-WrestleMania tour.
Rhio was recently spotted at the WWE Performance Center during NXT tapings, though she was reportedly just visiting at the time. Both Rhio and DeReiss also spent time training at the legendary Hart Dungeon during their US trips last year, further boosting speculation about their futures.
The buzz surrounding potential WWE signings was a major discussion point backstage at PROGRESS Wrestling’s Valentine’s Day event, where multiple talents debated the impact of more UK stars making the jump to WWE.
Both DeReiss and Rhio have previously competed on NXT UK, so the idea of them landing full-time WWE deals wouldn’t be a shock. But with the industry constantly evolving, the question now is whether WWE will make the move—or if another major promotion will swoop in first.
