WWE stars have been earning six-figure salaries for years, despite new reports making it seem like this is a sudden shift.
While recent discussions have highlighted WWE’s minimum main roster salary being between $200K and $300K, this has actually been the standard since 2019, when WWE was forced to adjust contracts after AEW entered the picture.
At the time, AEW began offering competitive deals to lure talent away, leading WWE to restructure its pay scale to prevent top stars from jumping ship. This change wasn’t a quiet adjustment—it was a necessary move to remain the industry’s financial powerhouse.
A recent Fightful Select report highlighted WWE’s current pay structure and many outlets ook it as a new development, however, Ringside News can confirm talents have been making these salaries for at least five-to-six years. While it’s true that some top stars are raking in millions annually, that has also been the case since WWE started prioritizing higher guarantees rather than relying solely on pay-per-view bonuses and merchandise sales.
With WWE continuing to post record profits, sell out major arenas, and generate massive revenue from media rights, it’s unlikely that salaries will dip anytime soon. But with AEW still in the mix, the competition for talent remains strong.
