Jack Perry was heavily featured on AEW television last year while being part of The Elite, but he has remained absent since dropping the TNT Title to Daniel Garcia at Full Gear. Fans have been wondering when he will return to AEW television and now scrapped plans for Perry’s return have been revealed.

While speaking on The Hump, Sean Ross Sapp was asked about Jack Perry’s absence from AEW television and whether AEW had any plans for his return. Sapp noted that Jack Perry was considered for Kenny Omega’s return feud.

However, those plans were ultimately scrapped and changed, with AEW going in a different direction. He added that he hasn’t heard anything about Perry lately, but confirmed that he was originally planned for the Omega storyline.

“He was in consideration for Kenny’s return feud, but it was scrapped and changed, and they went in a different direction. I haven’t heard anything about him lately, but he was planned for that Omega stuff.”

Kenny Omega immediately started feuding with The Don Callis Family after he returned to AEW television and he will be teaming up with Will Ospreay to face off against Kyle Fletcher and Konosuke Takeshita at AEW Grand Slam: Australia.

As for Jack Perry, he most recently challenged Yota Tsuji for the IWGP Global Heavyweight Title at the Wrestle Dynasty pay-per-view last month. Nevertheless, fans hope Jack Perry will be returning to AEW television sooner rather than later, as they feel Perry deserves a proper feud upon his return.

Do you think AEW made the right decision by scrapping Perry’s feud with Omega? How should AEW book his return? Share your thoughts in the comments!
