Nikki Bella Reveals Reason Behind WWE In-Ring Return

Nikki Bella surprised fans when she made her in-ring return during the 2025 Royal Rumble Premium Live Event. Bella impressed many with her in-ring skills and now Bella has revealed why she returned to the ring in the first place.

While speaking to Access Hollywood, Nikki Bella explained why she decided to return to the squared circle. She explained that once someone is a wrestler, they always feel the urge to come back. She and her sister Brie Bella have felt this way many times because wrestling gives them confidence, strength, and a sense of power.

For Nikki Bella, this return was even more important as she started a new chapter in her life. She missed being in the ring and felt like it was a big part of who she was. She also stated that returning to wrestling would help her feel like herself again and put the pieces of her life back together.

“You know, it’s funny because Brie and I, for a while, we were just— I mean, once you’re a wrestler, you’re always a wrestler. You always crave getting back in. That’s why we always make comebacks, right?

But, um, I was really just yearning for it. You know, when you’re in that ring, you find so much of your empowerment, strength, and confidence—things that I was really craving and yearning for myself, especially in my new era. And it’s like, I need Nikki Bella to help me put the pieces back together, you know what I mean? Yeah, yeah—getting my Bella back.”

According to WrestleVotes, WWE is very happy to have Nikki Bella back. They noted that her presence on WWE Shop has been impactful, with strong merchandise sales since her return. WWE was also happy about her comeback, and her performance was well-received by fans.

To add to this, Nikki Bella already confirmed that she will make additional appearances on WWE television in the future. Therefore, we’ll have to see when Bella will compete in the ring again, as fans clearly want to see more of her in the future.
