WWE is stacking the deck for Friday Night SmackDown on February 7, and now we have a look at some of the matches set for the show—including a high-stakes main event featuring Drew McIntyre, LA Knight, and Jimmy Uso.
According to WrestleVotes, both Men’s and Women’s Elimination Chamber qualifying matches will take place on SmackDown as WWE moves closer to Elimination Chamber 2025. The headlining bout will see McIntyre, Knight, and Uso battle in a triple threat match with a Chamber spot on the line.
“Source: Both Men’s & Women’s Elimination Chamber qualifying matches will take place on #SmackDown, with tonight’s main event scheduled to be a triple threat: Drew McIntyre vs LA Knight vs Jimmy Uso,” WrestleVotes reported.
This match comes after reports of backstage tension between McIntyre and Knight following the Royal Rumble. McIntyre was reportedly furious over timing issues in the Rumble match, which affected his planned elimination by Damian Priest. The botched sequence was supposed to set up a WrestleMania 41 feud, but instead, it left McIntyre frustrated to the point where he was “screaming” backstage.
Despite the issues, WWE is moving forward with its plans, and having McIntyre and Knight in the same match will be one to watch.
With Elimination Chamber spots up for grabs, this week’s SmackDown is shaping up to be a must-watch event. Will McIntyre and Knight be able to work together, or will their Royal Rumble drama spill over into the ring?
