The Royal Rumble Premium Live Event was headlined by the Men’s Royal Rumble match and Seth Rollins was determined to win it at any cost. After that didn’t happen, Rollins ended up hitting the Stomp on Roman Reigns twice, effectively taking him out. Unsurprisingly, Rollins has now explained why he brutally attacked Reigns like this.
While speaking on the Rich Eisen Show, Seth Rollins explained why he used The Stomp on Roman Reigns twice after he got eliminated from the Royal Rumble match. He said that for the past four years, Reigns has not treated the people around him well.
Rollins believes that actions have consequences and that sometimes people need to apologize and make things right. He thinks Reigns is getting what he deserves and hopes this will teach him a lesson.
“You’ve got to understand the history. He doesn’t know—he doesn’t know. For the last four years, the Tribal Chief has not been very kind to the people closest to him, okay? So, you know, people get what they deserve sometimes. They’ve got to make apologies, they’ve got to make amends, they’ve got to do things right. Roman Reigns gets what’s coming to him. You’ve got to understand that. So maybe this will be a teaching moment.”
After hitting a double foot stomp on Roman Reigns once, Seth Rollins clearly wasn’t done as he hit another huge stomp on The Tribal Chief on the steel steps, making it clear that fans weren’t going to see Reigns for a while at least.
Roman Reigns is currently on hiatus from WWE television following Seth Rollins’ vicious assault and The Visionary has already taken credit for putting Reigns out of commission. However, it is to be noted that WWE simply announced an injury for Reigns to explain his current hiatus from television since he isn’t actually injured or anything like that.
With WrestleMania 41 fast approaching, fans are left wondering whether Reigns will return and try to get revenge on Seth Rollins. After all, it’s very clear their feud is far from over and a WrestleMania match between the two would make the most sense.
