WWE SmackDown went live from the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee, on February 7, and things got heated before the main event even started. With the Men’s Elimination Chamber on the horizon, Drew McIntyre, LA Knight, and Jimmy Uso were set to battle it out for a spot in the high-stakes match—but before the bell rang, LA Knight took the opportunity to drag McIntyre in front of the entire WWE Universe.

Before stepping into the ring, McIntyre cut a promo about his move to SmackDown, taking shots at Monday Night RAW and calling it a “toxic brand.” But just as he started hyping himself up, LA Knight stormed out with a microphone in hand, and he wasn’t about to let McIntyre get away with his speech.

Knight wasted no time going after McIntyre’s well-documented frustration over the Royal Rumble, where reports surfaced that McIntyre was yelling and cursing backstage after his elimination didn’t go as planned. According to multiple sources, McIntyre believed another wrestler prioritized their own moves over the match’s storytelling—leading him to storm out of the arena before the match even ended.

As it turns out, LA Knight was that wrestler, and he wasn’t about to let McIntyre forget it.

Knight mocked McIntyre for his Rumble tantrum, sarcastically saying that “it’s always okay to have a good cry.” Then, in a final dig, he said he needed to “get his stuff in”—a direct reference to the report that McIntyre was furious about Knight going off-script to get his moments in during the Rumble.

This wasn’t just a promo—it was personal. McIntyre’s SmackDown debut was supposed to mark a new chapter, but instead, he got put on blast in front of the entire crowd. With this rivalry already heating up, it’s only a matter of time before these two come to blows again.
