Cedric Alexander is officially done with WWE. The former Cruiserweight Champion and RAW Tag Team Champion took to social media to break the news, confirming that his time in the company has come to an end.
“Thank you for the last 8 1/2 years! Being a professional wrestler has been a dream of mine since I could form memories and I will continue to do so till the good Lord says otherwise. #SeeYouIn90,” Alexander posted on Twitter/X, referencing the standard 90-day non-compete clause that typically comes with WWE releases.
Alexander first made waves in WWE after competing in the 2016 Cruiserweight Classic, where he won over the audience with his performance against Kota Ibushi—a match that famously led to Triple H giving the nod to sign him. He later became a staple of 205 Live, capturing the Cruiserweight Championship before making his way to the RAW roster.
One of the biggest moments of his career came when he joined The Hurt Business alongside MVP, Bobby Lashley, and Shelton Benjamin. The faction quickly became one of the most dominant acts on WWE RAW, and Alexander won RAW Tag Team Championship gold with Benjamin during their run.
More recently, Alexander had been competing on WWE NXT, but now, he’s officially a free agent, in ninety days.
With the wrestling world wide open, where do you think he should go next? Should he reunite with his former Hurt Business partner Shelton Benjamin somewhere new? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
