Trish Stratus Trained with TNA Star Jody Threat for WWE Royal Rumble Return

WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus made her triumphant in-ring return during the Royal Rumble Premium Live Event and impressed fans in a big way. Interestingly enough, Stratus had help from TNA star Jody Threat in order to prepare for her in-ring return.

Trish Stratus shared a video on Twitter, revealing that Jody Threat, one-half of the current TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Champions, helped her train for her return match. They trained at Santino Marella’s Battle Arts Academy in Mississauga.

Although the clip was brief, the WWE Hall of Famer emphasized that she wanted to give fans nothing less than 100%, showing that even after 25 years, Stratusfaction is still guaranteed.

Trish Stratus joined the Women’s Royal Rumble match as the 25th entrant, engaging in memorable moments with Jordynne Grace, Candice LeRae, and others. While she was eventually eliminated, fans were excited to see her return to a WWE ring after being away for so long.

Sean Ross Sapp also reported that Stratus is expected to remain involved in some way and often pitches ideas. With her 25-year anniversary merchandise and an upcoming WWE show in Toronto later this month, he said he would be surprised if she didn’t take part in some capacity.

“I had heard that Trish would be involved in some capacity for a while moving forward and that she often pitches things. Now, Trish has the 25-year merch and has a Toronto show coming up at the end of the month, so I would be shocked if she wasn’t.”

With Elimination Chamber 2025 scheduled for March 1st in Toronto, many expect Trish Stratus to make an appearance. Considering her 25-year anniversary in WWE and her deep ties to Toronto, it wouldn’t be surprising if she played a role in the event. Fans are also happy to see that Jody Threat played a part in helping Stratus prepare for her return, so we’ll have to see how Stratus will fare in her next appearance on WWE programming.
