Hulk Hogan consistently draws attention for one reason or the other, both within and beyond the wrestling world. During WWE RAW’s Netflix debut on January 6, fans loudly booed everything he said, which took many people by surprise. Now, Seth Rollins has also made it clear that he believes Hogan deserved the booing.

While speaking to Kyle Brandt of Good Morning Football, Seth Rollins was asked to share his thoughts on Hogan getting booed by fans on the January 6th episode of RAW. Rollins stated that if a large crowd reacts negatively to someone, there is usually a reason for it. While he isn’t sure if Hogan fully understands the situation, he feels that people ultimately get what they deserve.

Rollins acknowledged Hogan’s influence on his own love for professional wrestling, crediting him as the reason he got into the industry. He made it clear that he respects Hogan’s contributions to the business and would never take that away from him.

However, he also believes that Hogan has some responsibility to own up to things he hasn’t yet addressed. Rollins suggested that if Hogan can recognize and take accountability for those issues, he might be able to move forward with the fans.

“I am all for people getting what they deserve, and that’s exactly how I feel about Hulk Hogan getting booed. If you’re getting booed by the masses, there’s a reason for that. I don’t know if Hulk fully understands the scope of it, but people get what they deserve, so I’m happy to see it.

I’ve said this before about the Hulkster—he’s the guy that got me into the industry in terms of my love for professional wrestling, so I’ll never take that away from him. What he’s done for our business is undeniable, and I’ll never discredit that. But I do think there’s some responsibility he needs to own up to that he hasn’t yet. Maybe when he finally figures that out, he can move forward with the fans. Let’s see.”

As reported earlier, in addition to the chorus of boos, off-camera chants of “F*** Hulk Hogan” could be heard throughout the arena. The crowd’s disdain for Hogan was linked to his 2015 racist remarks scandal and lack of accountability, since Hogan still hasn’t apologized for those remarks at all. Therefore, it’s likely that fans will agree with what Seth Rollins had to say until Hogan finally takes accountability for his actions.

Do you agree with Seth Rollins that Hulk Hogan got what he deserved? Should Hogan address his past controversies, or is the reaction unfair? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
