The 2025 Royal Rumble was headlined by the Men’s Royal Rumble match and CM Punk was one of the favorites to get the win and secure his spot at WrestleMania 41. That didn’t happen as Jey Uso ended up winning instead and after that, John Cena announced his entry into the Men’s Elimination Chamber match. Unsurprisingly, CM Punk has now called out John Cena for being handed a spot in the Chamber match.

While speaking on the Good Guy / Bad Guy podcast, CM Punk questioned why Cena got a free pass into the match despite being away filming Matchbox in Budapest, calling out Cena for the same.

The Second City Saint made it clear that he planned to qualify for the Chamber just so he could face Cena, calling it possibly his last chance to do so. While WrestleMania is a big deal, Punk’s priority was getting into the match and going after Cena.

“I’m looking at the Chamber now like, ‘Oh, Cena’s got a buy? Cena just gets to be in it?’ Okay, Mr. I’m filming ‘Matchbox’ in Budapest. I’m gonna just disappear, and then I just get a gift? So I want to qualify for the Chamber so I can slap the s*** out of John Cena. That might be my last opportunity to do so.

Obviously, Mania’s a big deal, and I’m not putting that on the back burner or anything like that, but he’s already in it, and he got a gift, he got a bye, he got a handout, he’s in the Chamber because he’s John Cena? Well, I’m gonna qualify, and I’m gonna come after him. That’s my goal.”

During the February 3 episode of WWE RAW, CM Punk faced off against Sami Zayn in an Elimination Chamber qualifying match and he was ultimately able to beat Zayn to secure his spot in the Chamber match.

With both CM Punk and John Cena confirmed for the grueling Elimination Chamber match, it’s guaranteed fans will get to see them face each other next month. In the coming weeks, more superstars will be added to the match, but only one can emerge victorious and earn a World Title opportunity at WrestleMania 41. With so much on the line, it remains to be seen whether Cena or Punk will come out on top when the dust settles.
