WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus hadn’t competed since her steel cage match with Becky Lynch at Payback 2023, but that changed after she made her in-ring return during the Royal Rumble Premium Live Event. Following the end of the show, Stratus has now hinted at making more appearances in the future.
WWE took to their official Twitter account and uploaded a video of Trish Stratus after the Royal Rumble, where she talked about her experience competing in the match and how great it was to see women from different generations in the ring, including NXT stars and the TNA crossover. She felt honored and proud to be a part of such a big moment for the fans. Trish also mentioned trying to go to WrestleMania 41, but it didn’t work out because Nia Jax is so dominant.
“Just seeing the girls in there and seeing the different generations, really. NXT girls coming up and TNA crossover, it was like a little bit of everything, and I feel honored and humbled to be with them. These are fun moments for fans, and these are fan-friendly events. I was trying to go to WrestleMania, and that didn’t work out since Nia is very big—it’s undeniable how big she is. “
Byron Saxton then stated that it’s always an honor for Stratus to return to WWE and added that fans might see her again soon, saying, “Trish, it’s always an honor whenever you come back home to WWE, and maybe we will see you again soon.” In response, Trish Stratus teased making her return to WWE again soon, as she thanked fans for their support, saying, “Maybe you will, let’s see. Thanks for always being there for me, you too Byron, but you guys especially.”
Trish Stratus entered as the 25th entrant in the Women’s Royal Rumble match and had solid interactions with the likes of Jordynne Grace Candice LeRae and more. While she was eventually eliminated, fans were just happy to see Stratus in a WWE ring again after so long. Therefore, it remains to be seen when Stratus will return to WWE television again as fans would love to see her compete at WrestleMania 41 this year.
