The Royal Rumble Premium Live Event was truly a night to remember, as it kicked off with the Women’s Royal Rumble match. Among the participants was Roxanne Perez and she had a solid performance in the bout. While she was unable to win the match, Perez has now confirmed her main roster status following the match.
WWE took to Twitter and uploaded a video of Roxanne Perez getting interviewed by Byron Saxton. Perez pointed out her record-breaking time of 1 hour, 7 minutes, and 47 seconds in the match, emphasizing her history-making achievements in NXT, where she became a two-time NXT Women’s Champion, Breakout Tournament winner, and Iron Survivor winner.
Perez then confirmed her main roster status as she made it clear that she intends to continue making history on the main roster, issuing a warning to the women’s division, stating that they should prepare for The Prodigy.
“I broke the record, and now I have the longest time in the Royal Rumble at 1 hour, 7 minutes, and 47 seconds. That’s right, Byron, I’m a history maker. I made history in NXT—a two-time NXT Women’s Champion, Breakout Tournament winner, Iron Survivor winner. I make history, and I’m going to continue doing the same thing here on the main roster. So, girls, get ready, because I don’t think you all are ready for The Prodigy.”
Roxanne Perez and Charlotte Flair were the final two competitors in the Women’s Royal Rumble match, with Flair ultimately eliminating Perez to secure the victory. Despite the loss, Perez’s performance left a lasting impression on fans.
This comes after it was already confirmed that Giulia will defend her NXT Women’s Championship against Roxanne Perez and Bayley at NXT Vengeance Day on February 15th. Nonetheless, we’ll have to see which brand Perez will be assigned to after NXT Vengeance Day, as it’s clear she will find success on the main roster no matter what.
As Roxanne Perez steps into this new chapter of her career, how do you think she will fare against the top stars on the main roster? Will she continue her momentum and claim championship gold? Share your thoughts in the comments!
