Punk admits discussing that year makes him nervous due to past litigation. He recalls a time when WWE wouldn’t even mention his name, with that Rumble playing a big part in it.
She asks about his triceps injury. Punk says he’s fighting Cody and Gunther, but his biggest battle was with himself. He admits crying for eight minutes before calling his wife, who told him to come home so they could handle it together.
Jackie asks if there was a silver lining. Punk says losing gives you perspective. She then brings up “the favor” and asks for details. Punk refuses to discuss it. When she asks “when,” he says he doesn’t know when he’ll need to use it, but people assume it involves someone close to Paul Heyman.
Jackie questions his relationship with Heyman at the time. Punk says things were rough, and they didn’t really talk. Their communication resumed when he returned, leading to an emotional but uncomfortable hug.
She asks what happens if all his training and preparation don’t lead to victory. Punk admits he has never won a Rumble and describes losing as an empty feeling. In this business, there’s always next year.
Jackie then asks what happens if he wins. Punk admits he hadn’t considered that until now. He says winning is actually scarier—what if he main events WrestleMania? What if his passion fades? Maybe he needs that constant hunger. Either way, he’ll be ready when the music hits.
Cole asks for predictions. Joe Tessitore names Drew McIntyre, CM Punk, Roman Reigns, and Seth Rollins as top contenders. Wade Barrett picks Drew McIntyre. Pat McAfee is torn between CM Punk and John Cena. Michael Cole favors Roman Reigns, with Jacob Fatu as his dark horse.

When asked who might last as long as he did, Gunther says egos and personalities will eventually clash. With all the drama surrounding the match, he’s looking forward to watching it unfold.
A video package airs for the Tag Team Title match. Jackie Redmond announces that the Women’s Royal Rumble match will open the show.
Cathy Kelley waits outside the Number Picking Room as The Miz emerges. She asks how he feels about only having two eliminations last year. Miz brushes it off and demands another question. When asked about his number, he refuses to share. Miz reminds everyone that no one ever picked him to be WWE Champion, yet he won it twice. No one expected him to main event WrestleMania, but if he wins tonight, he’ll do it again.
Byron Saxton is with fans, gathering their predictions for the Rumble match. Bubba Ray Dudley joins the panel, replacing Wade Barrett, to discuss the Tag Team Title match.
The conversation shifts to LFG, with a video package promoting its debut on February 16th.
Bubba is asked about his coaching style. He makes it clear he’s not there to make friends—he’ll learn the contestants’ names if they win. His job is to create wrestlers and sports entertainers. He points out that he, Booker T, The Undertaker, and Mickie James had to fight their way to the top.
He mentions working with the loudest and most egotistical member of the group but acknowledges the kid’s talent. If he listens, he has a shot.
When asked how the contestants handle each other, Bubba says they’re learning a hard truth—today, they might be friends, but when there’s only one spot, friendship doesn’t matter.
A video package highlights the WrestleMania sign, building anticipation for the road to WrestleMania.
