Dustin Rhodes has had a legendary career, winning championships across multiple promotions. Many fans still remember his intense feud with Cody Rhodes, which was a standout moment in AEW’s early days. However, Dustin has now explained why he will never face Cody again.

Dustin Rhodes went on Twitter to say that people ask him every day how he feels about Cody’s success. He shared that he is very proud of Cody, their dad, and their whole family. He pointed out that each of them has their own style, and Cody has done even better than expected. Dustin also said that the Rhodes family has made a big impact on wrestling and entertainment.

“I get asked daily about how I feel about Cody’s success. I love it and I am super proud. Proud of him, proud of my dad, proud of our family. We all 3 have different styles that stand us out and Cody has definitely surpassed every expectation of him. We are all different in many ways and each of us have left its mark on the world of pro wrestling and entertainment and that #RhodesTrain ain’t stopping. #RhodesFam”

A fan then told Dustin Rhodes that the story isn’t over until Cody Rhodes faces off against Goldust for the World Title, saying, “yes but the story is not over until its goldust v cody for the title”

Dustin Rhodes saw what the fan had to say and made it abundantly clear that he will never fight Cody Rhodes again as he has no intention of touching something as magical as their last match at AEW Double or Nothing 2019, saying, “No. I will never fight him again. I wouldn’t dare touch something so magical.”

Dustin Rhodes and Cody Rhodes’ epic match at AEW Double or Nothing 2019 remains one of the most beloved matches in AEW history and it’s not hard to see why Dustin Rhodes doesn’t want to face his brother again in the future. In the meantime, Dustin Rhodes still eyes winning a World Title before retiring for good, so we’ll have to wait and see if his dream will come to fruition one day.

Do you agree with Dustin Rhodes’ decision to never wrestle Cody again? Should their AEW Double or Nothing 2019 match remain untouched, or do you think there’s still another chapter left in their story? Drop your thoughts in the comments and let’s discuss!
