The legal battle between Vince McMahon and Janel Grant just took another turn, as McMahon’s attorney has officially responded to the allegations laid out in Grant’s amended complaint.
Jessica Rosenberg, McMahon’s legal representative, issued a statement to Ringside News, dismissing the new filing as nothing more than an attempt to damage his reputation.
“As expected, the proposed amended complaint is nothing more than the latest publicity stunt in an ongoing smear campaign,” Rosenberg stated. “It is filled with desperate falsehoods from a team that continues to disregard the law and the truth.”
This response comes just one day before the WWE Royal Rumble, as Grant’s legal team submitted new evidence allegedly showing that McMahon coerced her into sexual acts, filmed her without consent, and even offered her to WWE talent, including Brock Lesnar.
The lawsuit has already sent shockwaves through the industry, putting additional pressure on TKO Group Holdings, which now owns WWE, to address the situation publicly. With McMahon already resigning from his position within TKO, the company has tried to distance itself from him, but the latest allegations ensure this legal battle is far from over.
Rosenberg’s response makes it clear that McMahon’s team is going on the offensive, but whether this statement will slow the momentum of Grant’s case remains to be seen.
