WWE Would Welcome AJ Lee Back for Royal Rumble Return

AJ Lee’s impact on WWE is still felt today, with her 2015 departure marking the end of an era that played a big part in the Women’s Revolution she helped inspire. Fans have been hoping for her return for several years, and now AJ Lee’s status for the Royal Rumble has been revealed.

While speaking on The Hump, Sean Ross Sapp was asked about the possibility of AJ Lee returning at the Royal Rumble. He mentioned that he wasn’t sure if AJ Lee would make a return, but whenever he asks about her, he’s told that if she wants to be part of the Royal Rumble, all she has to do is say so, and they would let her join.

“I don’t know if AJ Lee will. When I ask about her, I’m always told, ‘If she wants to be in the Rumble, she knows she could just tell us she wants to be in the Rumble, and we would let her be.'”

This comes after CM Punk sparked some curiosity when the topic of surprises was discussed during an interview with Jackie Redmond. He mentioned, “There’s a big one that I’m not going to say, because I’m going to get in trouble.” The sly look he gave the camera made fans wonder if he was teasing AJ Lee’s return.

The Royal Rumble premium live event will be taking place on February 1st at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis and fans are already expecting a ton of surprises for the highly anticipated show. Therefore, fans still have hope that AJ Lee will somehow make her in-ring return after almost a decade.
