Triple H is officially going into the WWE Hall of Fame solo, and while he’s honored, he couldn’t resist throwing a little shade at the people who made the announcement.
The news broke during a WWE town hall, where Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker, and Stephanie McMahon surprised him with the reveal. Now, The Game has responded on X, jokingly calling out his longtime friends while also sharing his gratitude.
“Been trying to come up with a way to say ‘Thank You’ for the immense honor announced yesterday,” he wrote. “I have had the incredible pleasure of a 30+ year career of creating memories and moments… meeting life-long friends (which I’m rethinking both @Undertaker & @ShawnMichaels right now) and of course, the most incredible wife and mother, @StephMcMahon. …And the opportunity to entertain the best fans in the world. Thank you to everyone who has reached out, I appreciate the kind words and well-wishes.”
Triple H’s journey from The Connecticut Blueblood to The Cerebral Assassin and now WWE’s Chief Content Officer has been one of the most influential in wrestling history. While he was already inducted as part of D-Generation X in 2019, this solo induction cements his legacy even further.
With WrestleMania 41 set to take place in Las Vegas, his Hall of Fame induction adds another major moment to an already stacked weekend. Will The Game have one final moment in the spotlight before the ceremony, or is this truly the end of an era?
