Nikki Garcia, known to WWE fans as Nikki Bella, is opening up about her split from Artem Chigvintsev, revealing how she’s navigating life post-divorce.

In a new interview with Us Weekly, the former WWE star shared that she’s feeling “stronger” every day and embracing a fresh chapter. “I’m definitely finding more moments of joy,” she said. “[I’m] excited to just live this new era of me.”

Garcia, admitted she needed time away from the public eye to process everything after her marriage ended. “You couldn’t have ever told me that this would’ve been the ending of my 2024 or my marriage—I wouldn’t have believed you,” she explained, adding that the breakup was “very shocking.” She credited her therapist and family for helping her get through it.

Taking a step back gave her a chance to focus on herself. “I’ve really taken the time to kind of date myself,” she said, calling her 2025 “amazing” so far. “I have days where I get to focus a lot on me and self-care and just really get to know who I am in my 40s.”

Despite the split, Garcia and Chigvintsev are co-parenting their four-year-old son, Matteo. While she said he’s happy moving between homes, the adjustment has been tough on her. “I had never been in our home without him. So getting through those days is extremely difficult because I just love being around my son so much,” she admitted.

The exes put their issues aside for the holidays, ensuring Matteo had a normal Christmas. “We made sure we were both there when we baked Santa’s cookies. Matteo went to bed, and we both were there when he woke up. Because he’s our focus, we want to keep those moments,” she shared.

Looking ahead, Garcia isn’t closing the door on love but isn’t in a rush to jump back into a relationship. “I can definitely see myself falling in love again. I don’t think it’ll be anytime soon,” she said, explaining that she wants to feel confident in herself first. She also made it clear she won’t be walking down the aisle again. “I don’t ever want to be legally bound to someone or sign paperwork again,” she said.

Her comments come months after Chigvintsev was arrested on suspicion of felony domestic violence following an incident at their home on August 29. Prosecutors later declined to press charges after reviewing the evidence, and in September, Garcia officially filed for divorce, listing his arrest as their separation date.

Now, she’s focused on moving forward. “Things happen for a reason,” she said, adding that while she’s open to love again, she’s not interested in having more children.
