Dominik Mysterio Says WWE Fans Would “Hate” to See Him as World Champion

Dominik Mysterio knows exactly what he’s doing—and he loves every second of it.

The Judgment Day star has spent the past few years building his reputation as one of the most despised superstars in WWE, and if he ever captured a world title, he knows the reaction would be pure chaos.

“I think that people would go absolutely insane. People would hate to see me as world champion,” Dominik said during an appearance on The Babyfaces Podcast.

The son of Rey Mysterio has fully stepped out of his father’s shadow since betraying him in 2022, turning into one of the most reliable villains in WWE. Though he’s already held NXT gold, he has yet to win a singles title on the main roster—but he’s convinced that when the time comes, the WWE Universe won’t be happy about it.

Right now, Dominik has his sights set on Chad Gable, offering to train the Olympian in what he calls the “dark arts” of Lucha Libre. Whether Gable takes him up on it or not, Dominik is clearly plotting his next move—and he has no plans of making it easy for anyone.
