Fans expecting to see Hulk Hogan at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on January 25 in San Antonio, Texas, were left disappointed—but “The Hulkster” had other plans, and now there’s video proof.

Ahead of the show, footage surfaced online showing Hogan and fellow WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam toasting beers together at Nick Hogan’s wedding. RVD himself shared the clip on Instagram, confirming that instead of being at WWE’s big event, Hogan was celebrating his son’s big day with a cold one in hand.

The video put an end to speculation about why Hogan wasn’t at SNME, especially after his involvement in promoting the event led many to believe he’d be making an appearance. While some assumed his absence had something to do with the reaction he got at RAW’s Netflix debut on January 6, that theory is officially dead.

According to reports, Hogan was never actually scheduled for SNME in the first place, and his commitment to Nick’s wedding was always the priority. The video with RVD just confirmed he was enjoying the night exactly how you’d expect—surrounded by friends, beer in hand, and far from the ring.
