Swerve Strickland started a feud with Bobby Lashley last year, and AEW seemed fully committed to their rivalry. However, the company put the feud on hold for quite a while, and now it appears AEW plans to resume their feud in the future.

According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, AEW plans to resume the Swerve Strickland and Bobby Lashley feud in a few months, which is definitely something that fans feel should happen.

Bobby Lashley defeated Swerve Strickland at AEW Full Gear last year and Strickland eventually called out Lashley prior to Worlds End, but nothing came out of it as Strickland began a feud with Ricochet, something that is still going on right now.

In the meantime, Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin ended up beating Private Party for the AEW Tag Team Championships on AEW Dynamite this week, so it’s clear the company wants to focus on them for now.

With Swerve Strickland currently feuding with Ricochet and Bobby Lashley holding tag team gold, it makes sense that AEW is waiting for the right moment to revisit their feud. It is evident that AEW will build towards a high-stakes rematch between them for a major pay-per-view, so we’ll have to see when they will finally reignite their rivalry in a few months’ time.

Are you excited for AEW to finally resume the Swerve Strickland vs. Bobby Lashley feud? Would you like to see it take place over the AEW Tag Team Championships, or should it be a singles rivalry? Drop your thoughts in the comments!
