Trick Williams has already made major waves in NXT, becoming a two-time NXT Champion and headlining multiple premium live events. Now, he’s more confident than ever that a move to the main roster is just around the corner.
Williams, who originally rose to prominence alongside Carmelo Hayes before stepping out on his own, spoke on Tailgate Talks with DiMarco and Garcia, where he made it clear that his next step has to be Raw or SmackDown.
“I’m very confident. I think it has to be soon. I’ve been very blessed, very fortunate. For the career that I wish I had in football, I got it tenfold with my wrestling career. I’m grateful for that.”
Williams didn’t hold back when hyping himself up, believing there’s nothing bigger in NXT right now than what he brings to the table.
“As it comes to NXT, there is not much better than the Trick Williams experience as NXT goes. With that being said, I would like to think the main roster call to be sometime soon.”
Despite his confidence, Williams is coming off a tough loss, dropping the NXT Championship to Oba Femi at New Year’s Evil. However, with his momentum still strong, a main roster debut could be the next big move in his career.
With WrestleMania season approaching, could Trick Williams make his jump to Raw or SmackDown sooner than expected? Drop your thoughts in the comments!
