Britt Baker’s AEW career has been filled with backstage drama, but her issues with Thunder Rosa may have been more intense than fans realized. According to Konnan, Rosa was fully prepared to throw hands with Baker at one point.
Speaking on the Keepin’ It 100 podcast, Konnan claimed that Rosa personally told him she was ready to have a fist fight with Baker, though he believes the situation may have been diffused before things got physical.
“At the end of the day, nobody wanted to work with her,” Konnan said. “Thunder Rosa was definitely gonna get into a fist fight with her because she told me so. Okay, maybe cooler heads prevailed. Maybe if she said it to me, she said it to somebody else, so maybe they went in there and calmed the tension down.”
Baker and Rosa have been at odds for years, and their real-life tension has bled into AEW programming on multiple occasions. Even Tony Khan himself has ruled out the possibility of them ever being on the same page.
Right now, Baker remains absent from AEW television, with reports of major backstage issues hanging over her future. While some believe the drama has been exaggerated, there’s no denying that her name has been tied to backstage conflicts more than once.
