The January 22 episode of AEW Dynamite rolled into Knoxville, Tennessee this week. The Knoxville Collision was ready for action, and that included a big tag team match.

Private Party defended their AEW Tag Team Titles against the Hurt Syndicate. While Zay and Quen have enjoyed their reign as champions, Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin have made no secret about the fact that they want to hurt people in AEW.

Bobby Lashley’s AEW debut was expected during the October 30 episode of AEW Dynamite after MVP showed up at Grand Slam 2024 and Shelton Benjamin joined the company.

This contest was the first of the night and Justin Roberts gave it a big match feel. With MVP on commentary, this match got started. Naturally, the Hurt Syndicate maintained control of things in the early moments. Then they put the Zay through an announce table as they cut to commercial.

When we came back from commercial, Quen was taking abuse from the challengers. The All Mighty and the Gold Standard tagged in and out to keep a fresh man in the match. Private Party continued to fight back, and they got a near fall after a 450 Splash, but MVP denied that it was close at all.

This match continued until Bobby Lashley nailed a spear to get the clean win. Now we have new AEW Tag Team Champions. The Hurt Syndicate celebrated after their big win in Knoxville.
