TNA Wrestling brought a big pay-per-view with their Genesis 2025 event. This also came right after NXT and TNA’s announced partnership, and WWE’s developmental brand sent their tag team champions to check out the title match. This was certainly noticed by the Hardys, who left the match with the titles in tow.
The Hardy Boys are interested in going after even more championship gold. After seeing Axiom and Nathan Frazer on Sunday night at Genesis, Matt and Jeff Hardy are considering a potential title match against the NXT Tag Team Champions.
During the TNA Genesis 2025 event, news broke that Fraxiom will defend their NXT Tag Team Titles against The Rascalz on Thursday’s TNA Impact live episode. If Fraxiom retains their titles, The Hardys appear eager to challenge them. The Hardy brothers appeared in an online promo, where they welcomed Fraxiom’s titles to their collection.
“No one is better than Matt and Jeff Hardy in 2025. On October 26, 2024, we became the TNA World Tag Team Champions. And our reign is going to be much like The Hardy Boys, it’s going to go on for infinity. It is gonna last forever, because The Hardys, we are forever. Fraxiom, I noticed you were out there tonight. You’ve got a couple of titles too. We’d love to go on another expedition of gold. So maybe we’ll see you around.”
Matt and Jeff Hardy have picked up a lot of tag team titles from all over the pro wrestling world. At this point, they have not won the NXT Tag Team Titles yet.
Only time will tell if this will open the door to make that happen, but the brand has welcomed veterans as their champions in the past, including former TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth as he held the title for a short time as Dolph Ziggler.
The Hardys are not one to turn down a challenge, especially if they believe a good tag team match could happen. At this rate, WWE fans may see the Hardys return to the company in a very different way if they can find their way onto NXT as champions.
