Allie Katch suffered an injury during The People vs. GCW on January 19th while facing Effy in a Number One Contender’s Match. She landed awkwardly on her foot during a dive to the outside, leading the match to be stopped as medical staff took her out on a stretcher. Now it appears that Allie Katch will be undergoing suffer after suffering the leg injury.

Steph De Lander took to her Twitter and explained that Katch broke two bones in her leg during GCW’s show at the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC. She mentioned that Katch was still waiting to find out if she needed surgery but would face a large medical bill and significant time away from wrestling, leading to a loss of income.

De Lander emphasized the struggles of being an independent wrestler and how injuries make things even harder as she set up a GoFundMe for her friend. She encouraged the wrestling community to support Katch and promised to provide updates as soon as possible.

In an update, Steph De Lander revealed that Allie Katch will be having surgery for her leg injury in the next few days, likely tomorrow. She thanked everyone who had already donated and encouraged fans to continue supporting Allie so she could get back on her feet as soon as possible.

“UPDATE @AllieKATCH will be undergoing surgery for her leg injury in the next couple of days, ideally tomorrow. Thank you to everybody who has already donated, let’s help our girl Allie get back on her feet (literally) ASAP”

At the time of writing, the GoFundMe has a goal of $13,000 and $7,784 has already been raised. Allie Katch’s injury is a big setback, but the support from fans, other wrestlers, and the wrestling community shows how strong they are when someone needs help. As she recovers, every donation and kind message will make a difference.
